Dr. Luis Gonzalez graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua Medical School and did his Internship and Residencies in Florida, Mexico City, Mexico and Chiapas, Mexico.
With an interest in Immunology and Allergy, Dr. Gonzalez joined the University of Utah as a Fellow Research Assistant under the direction of Dr. Harry Hill and colleagues in the field of Immunology Research. Under Dr. Hill's direction, Dr. Gonzalez had the opportunity to publish several journal articles from the research he was performing.
He had an opportunity to continue his medical education by completing a Residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Gonzalez was awarded a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Stanford University Hospital and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
After obtaining his Board Certification in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, he joined Dr. David Weinstein in El Paso in 1998. After 2 years of working together, Dr. Weinstein retired from Medical Practice and Dr. Gonzalez took over the care of the many valued patients we have had throughout the years.
Along with his wife and daughter, Dr. Gonzalez is very happy and grateful to be working along the El Paso border region. He continues to maintain his board certification from the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). In maintaining his certification, he uses up-to-date knowledge and grace to care for all of his patients, who are from the United States, Mexico, and abroad.
Dr. Gonzalez is Fluent in English and Spanish.
